You will need the Internet and a program called a Second Life viewer to gain access. There are many Second Life viewers available besides the official Second Life viewer. A Second Life viewer allows the users who are called Second Life Residents to communicate with each other with their avatars. Second Life Residents can meet each others, take part in social gatherings, participate in individual or group activities, make and trade property as well as services that are virtual. You can even travel and explore all the Second Life worlds.

Second Life Residents can build objects that are virtual with a software that is a tool of three-dimensional models. Three-dimensional “sculpties” i.e. the sculpted prims, textures for clothes or other items, animations as well as gestures are all created using a special software.

Second Life allows one to express creativity online. The buildings, clothing, landscaping are all works of art. You could design and create an architectural marvel or share your poems live on the microphone with people all over the world. The content of Second Life is created by the users.
